What’s the story you’re not sharing? ~

We believe that everyone has access to their most confident and unapologetic expression. It’s simply a matter of learning how to get out of your own way.

If you’ve ever second-guessed yourself, compared yourself to others, felt imposter syndrome, have a strong inner critic or felt anxiety and/or social anxiety, this is for you.

STORYTELLERS is for those that are done with ‘playing it small’.

For those that want to live unapologetically. With no holding back.

Exude more authentic expression.

Live with less fear.

Become comfortable in the unknown.

Find clarity and direction in your life path.

  • ALPHAMAMA from OPEN WORLD THEATRE

Alphamama is an artist and lead facilitator of Open World Theatre, a training system that welcomes people out from behind the automatic armour of survival and into a sentient connection with life.

It’s a creative arts practice that trains across embodiment, creativity and questing, aspiring to cultivate an ability (or at least willingness), to ‘be anyone’ and ‘experience anything’.

In essence sole goal is to open into a state of full aliveness.

One workshop will share the first signature method, ‘storywork’, where you’ll acknowledge and release the subjective narrative you may have become attached to and open into a greater range of beingness.

The second workshop will share the second signature method, ‘scenework’, where you’ll experience the core practice of connecting to our innocence and wilderness to express authentically.

Learn the Open World method for tracking aliveness in the moment, interacting with other humans from innocence, while allowing wilderness, artistry and reverence to lead into emergent happenings.

Still got questions?

tuck into these.

  1. “Is this for me?”

STORYTELLERS is for anyone who feels disconnected from their authentic self or wants to deepen their connection to their story. We don’t discriminate in the types of people that come, it’s the shared curiosity for more authentic expression that unites us. Whether you’re a seasoned creative or just starting your journey, this space welcomes all.

  2. “Will I feel safe and supported?”

Non-judgement and a sense of collective safety is a key pillar in the culture of STORYTELLERS. Each session is trauma informed and invitational only, so you can partake at your own pace. You’ll be met with acceptance and encouragement every step of the way.

  3. “What happens during the 10 weeks?”

Over 10 weeks, you’ll be guided through a blend of embodiment work, group parts-work, non-linear movement, movement as storytelling, improvisation, self-expression and deep inquiry. Each session is designed to unlock your unique expression and release blocks so you can show up in life with less fear and more direction.

  4. “Do I need prior experience with dance, movement or expression?”

No experience is required! STORYTELLERS is NOT a dance school. It’s about your personal journey, not performance. Whether it’s your first time exploring movement or you’ve been dancing for years, you’ll find a place here.

  5. “How is this different from therapy, a dance class, or other workshops?”

STORYTELLERS is a unique fusion of embodied movement, self-expression, and community connection. It’s not just about healing or learning a skill—it’s about choosing a new way to express yourself, amongst other individuals that value the same things.

  6. “10 weeks is a long time, can i miss some sessions?”

The depth experienced in extended format containers is next to none. It creates bonds and transformations you can’t achieve in a day or weekend workshop. We allow up to two sessions missed, as any more than this would jeopardise the depth of impact.

  7. “What specific results or transformations can I expect?”

By the end of the program, you can expect to leave with a deeper understanding of who you are & your unique gifts to share with the world, more boldness in your self-expression and less fear in how you show up in life. As well as a bunch of new dope ass friends.

  8. “What kinds of people usually join STORYTELLERS?”

The common thread of people attracted to this kind of work is a shared desire for deeper connection and creative expression. This means you could be a young professional, north-side university musician, byron hippy living in a van, or mother of kids. Authentic expression doesn’t discriminate.

  9. “What does a typical session look like?”

We got to keep some mystery hey…but expect each session to include grounding exercises, guided movement, and deep inquiry, with some other things sprinkled in.

IT’S TIME, TO REMEMBER YOUR TRUE STORY.
